How can a reward app encourage students to recycle more?
This study examines whether university students recycle and whether they would be willing to carry out the recycling process by taking remuneration. More specifically, it explores whether through technology, i.e. a rewards application the user can recycle more. Afterwards, through the literature review, questionnaires, interview, data collection and analysis conducted and the design of the application, the team came to the results and conclusions of the research. The objective of the study is to design an application that will encourage users to go through the recycling process so that they can do it properly and systematically.
The team’s goal in this study is through technology, specifically an app that will be created, to get students to recycle more, as well as to get the recycling process right. The team will proceed to design the app, with the goal of building a recycling fee app. The app is called Greenie and aims to reward users by offering them coupons on specific products.
In conclusion, it has become clear through the research conducted by the team, it has successfully reached the end and realized its goal. Through the extensive literature review, data collection and analysis, and design of the application, a recycling fee application called Greenie was completed. In this study, the goal was through technology and specifically an application designed to get students to recycle more often and also to do the recycling process correctly.
