Beyond the glass
This project is featured on the profiles of: Alexandros Theodosiou
This art installation symbolizes Limassol’s rapid urban development and environmental consequences.
A glass map serves as the centerpiece, where participants hammer steel and concrete nails, representing emerging buildings. Vibrations and noise from the hammering signify disruptive construction activities, emphasizing environmental disturbances. The broken glass metaphorically portrays the environmental impact of rapid urbanization, prompting reflection on sustainable practices. Through immersion, the project sparks dialogue, awareness, and collective responsibility for urban development’s environmental challenges.
